Class of 2024 Baccalaureate Mass: Tues., May 21 (at the Cathedral of the Madeleine downtown SLC) Help our JD Seniors get ready for their Baccalaureate Mass (Handing out JD stoles, steaming graduation gowns as needed, helping them to line up for their walk down South Temple, etc... Volunteers needed from 4 pm-8 pm and Dinner Provided to our volunteers!!! Class of 2024 Commencement: Sat., May 25 (at JDCHS - Commons) shifts will be between 7:30 am - 1 pm. Volunteer Policy

Each school year, parents/guardians are asked to serve volunteer hours. Volunteer hours are a great way to meet other families, be involved in your student's interests, as well as build our school community strong through the gifts of our time, talents, and treasure. Events such as our annual faculty appreciation, various home sports concessions, library assistance, theater production, music, and dance performances, Baccalaureate and Commencement Rites, Saint Paul’s Place Uniform Store, Lunchroom, and many other programs depend on our parent volunteer support throughout the year.

We ask that each family serve 20 volunteer hours each school year. Families with single parents or sole guardians are asked to serve 10 volunteer hours. International Host Families are not required to complete volunteer hours unless they have a student of their own at JD. They are always encouraged to volunteer in order to meet other families and participate in any campus activities.

Per the Diocese of Salt Lake, all employees, staff, coaches, and parent volunteers at the Skaggs Catholic Center must comply with the Safe Environment Policies set forth by the Office of Safe Environment. Please note: Parents who also have students in Saint John the Baptist Middle and/or Elementary School, should check the volunteer requirements of each school, which are in addition to the JD volunteer hour requirements stated above.
